Materials We Work With

Steel, Stainless, Aluminum, Copper, Brass, Titanium & More

We work with a wide range of metals and alloys to match your application requirements. From common carbon steel and aluminum to specialty stainless grades and exotic alloys, our team has the material knowledge, sourcing relationships, and fabrication experience to handle your project. Full material certifications and lot traceability are standard on every order.

Carbon Steel

The workhorse of metal fabrication. We stock and source hot rolled, cold rolled, and pre-galvanized carbon steel in various gauges and plate thicknesses up to 2.5 inches.

  • A36 structural steel
  • A500 tube and structural shapes
  • Hot rolled sheet and plate
  • Cold rolled sheet
  • Pre-galvanized sheet
  • Gauges from 24ga to 2.5" plate
Stainless Steel

From standard 304 to 316L for corrosion resistance, we fabricate stainless for semiconductor, pharmaceutical, food processing, and marine applications. RA10 mirror finish available.

  • 304 / 304L
  • 316 / 316L
  • Brushed, polished, and mirror finishes
  • RA10 mirror finish capability
  • Sheet, plate, bar, and tube
  • Full material traceability
Aluminum

Lightweight fabrication for applications where weight savings, corrosion resistance, or thermal conductivity matter. Our fiber lasers excel at cutting reflective aluminum.

  • 5052 (marine and general purpose)
  • 6061 (structural and machined parts)
  • 5083 (marine grade)
  • Sheet, plate, extrusion, and tube
  • Anodize-ready surface finishes
  • TIG and MIG welding capability
Copper & Brass

Precision laser cutting and forming for electrical, decorative, and industrial applications. Our fiber lasers handle reflective copper and brass with clean edge quality.

  • C110 copper (electrical grade)
  • C260 / C360 brass
  • Precision laser cutting
  • Forming and bending
  • Electrical bus bars and connectors
  • Decorative and architectural components
Titanium

Laser cutting and fabrication for aerospace, medical, and high-performance applications where strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance are critical.

  • Grade 2 (commercially pure)
  • Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V)
  • Laser cutting and CNC machining
  • Specialized welding techniques
  • Aerospace and medical applications
  • Material certifications standard
Specialty Alloys

For extreme environments and specialized applications, we source and fabricate specialty alloys. Contact us with your specific material requirements.

  • Inconel
  • Hastelloy
  • Monel
  • Duplex stainless
  • High-strength low-alloy (HSLA)
  • Custom sourcing for specific alloys

Why Material Expertise Matters

Full Traceability

Material certifications (mill certs) and lot traceability from receipt through shipment on every order.

Fiber Laser Advantage

Our fiber lasers cut reflective metals like aluminum, copper, and brass cleanly, where CO2 systems struggle.

Material Knowledge

Our team knows how each material behaves during cutting, forming, welding, and finishing, so your parts come out right the first time.

Sourcing Relationships

Established relationships with steel service centers and specialty metal suppliers keep lead times short and pricing competitive.

Material Sourcing and Fabrication in the Pacific Northwest

Magic Metals maintains strong relationships with Pacific Northwest steel service centers and specialty metal suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and fast material availability for regional customers. Based in Union Gap, Washington, we stock common carbon steel and stainless grades and can source specialty alloys quickly through our regional supply network. For PNW manufacturers who need material traceability and certified material on every order, we provide the documentation and quality control that your programs require.

Frequently Asked Questions

We handle material sourcing on most projects. Our purchasing team has established relationships with steel service centers and specialty metal suppliers. You can also supply your own material (consignment) if you prefer.

Yes. Full material certifications (mill certs) are standard on every order. We maintain lot traceability from raw material receipt through final shipment, which is required for semiconductor, pharmaceutical, defense, and other regulated industries.

Our fiber lasers cut steel up to 2.5 inches thick. Maximum thickness varies by material type. Aluminum and stainless have different thickness limits. Contact us with your specific requirements.

Yes. We accept customer-supplied (consignment) material. We will inspect incoming material for conformance and request material certifications if not provided.

We offer standard mill finish, brushed (#4 finish), polished, and RA10 mirror finish on stainless steel. Finish type depends on your application requirements. We verify surface finish with profilometer measurements on critical jobs.

Yes. We follow material separation practices to prevent cross-contamination. This is essential for food-contact, pharmaceutical, and semiconductor components where carbon steel contamination would be unacceptable.
